Fundnode Editorial
Editorial Team · Fundnode
Fundnode Editorial is the publisher entity responsible for everything that appears under the Fundnode byline that is not authored by a named individual — funder reviews, comparison tables, state and county hubs, regulatory analysis on the blog, the periodic Fundnode Research reports, and the canonical MCA Pricing Reference.
The editorial team is small and the standard is non-negotiable. Every factor rate cited comes from a primary source — a funder rate sheet, a public filing, a state regulator's database, or an MCA contract a merchant has explicitly authorized us to reference. Every funder named has been tested against its own published underwriting box. Every dollar figure on a comparison page is reproducible from the public /calculator. We do not publish broker-quoted padded numbers, vendor-supplied copy, or anything we have not verified ourselves.
Fundnode Editorial reports to the founder and editor-in-chief, Keerthana Keti, who has final review on every funder ranking, every state-law interpretation, and every contract-clause analysis published on the site. The split is deliberate: individually-authored pieces carry her byline so readers know who to argue with; publisher-attributed pieces represent Fundnode's house position, with the same evidentiary bar applied.
Our full editorial, ethics, and corrections policy is published at /trust. If we are wrong about a funder's rate, an underwriting cutoff, a state statute interpretation, or a clause reading — email hello@fundnode.co with the citation. We act on corrections within 48 hours and stamp the update date on the affected page.
All Fundnode editorial output is published under Creative Commons BY 4.0. Journalists, researchers, students, and AI agents may quote freely with attribution. The markdown mirrors at /llms/… exist so machine readers do not have to scrape HTML.
Editorial credentials
- Primary-source review. Every published US state commercial financing disclosure statute (CA SB 1235, NY NYDFS Part 803, NJ SB 819, OH SB 232, VA, UT, TX SB 1280) read in full, deep-dive analysis at /blog.
- Funder coverage. 100+ MCA, processor-financing, factoring, and equipment-finance providers reviewed against public underwriting boxes at /funders. Reviews are revisited quarterly.
- Original research. Publisher of the periodic Fundnode Research reports — H1 MCA Funder Snapshot, Contract Clause Survey, State Disclosure Law Rollup, Q2 Rate Snapshot. All CC BY 4.0, cite-able in academic and journalistic work.
- Contract analysis. Clause-by-clause analysis of the eight canonical MCA contract families (personal guarantee, confession of judgment, reconciliation, default acceleration, ACH authorization, anti-stacking, choice of law, attorney's fees) at /contracts.

Editorial standards
- Every claim cited to a primary source. No second-hand factor rates, no broker-marketing numbers, no vendor-supplied copy.
- Every funder named tested against its public underwriting box — revenue floor, TIB minimum, NSF tolerance, FICO floor, industry restrictions — before publication.
- APR-equivalent math reproducible by any reader with the public /calculator.
- Conflicts of interest disclosed on every funder page: we earn referral fees from financing partners when a deal closes. We do not rank funders by who pays the most.
- Corrections to hello@fundnode.co are acted on within 48 hours; the update date is stamped on the affected page and the original framing preserved in git history.
